Commissioning of OSR equipment at Adani Vizhinjam Port and participation in regional pollution response exercise in India
Lamor India has successfully commissioned an advanced oil spill response (OSR) package at Adani Vizhinjam Port, one of India's most prestigious transshipment hubs. Alongside this, Lamor India actively participated in a regional pollution response exercise organized by the Indian Coast Guard Station at Vizhinjam.
In early January 2025, Lamor India has proudly commissioned and delivered the “MADE IN INDIA” Lamor Auto Boom LAN 1500, Lamor Mk-8 Boom (Neoprene Version), Lamor Floating Oil Bladder LFT G10 (Neoprene Version), Lamor Collapsible Tank LCT, and Lamor Mini Vac System to Adani Vizhinjam Port. This state-of-the-art OSR package significantly enhances Adani Vizhinjam Port's capabilities to effectively combat oil spills within the port area.
To ensure operational readiness, practical training sessions were conducted for the port’s operations team, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to deploy the equipment efficiently.
Additionally, on 9 January 2025, Lamor India participated in a Regional Level Pollution Response Exercise organized by the Indian Coast Guard Station Vizhinjam. As part of the exercise, our team delivered a presentation addressing the challenges faced by India’s oil spill response industry and proposed actionable solutions for future advancements.
Our team also demonstrated the capabilities of the equipment, including the Lamor LAN Boom, MK-8 Boom, LFT G10, LCT, and Mini Vac System. These live demonstrations were well-received by the Indian Coast Guard and other key stakeholders, further reinforcing Lamor India’s reputation as a trusted partner in environmental protection and oil spill management.
