Lamor at COP16 in Cali, Colombia
COP16 is the first Biodiversity Conference since the adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework, also known as The Biodiversity Plan. This event was supported by Business Finland and the Nordic Council, with representatives from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, under the session Think Nordic, Sustainable Innovation. Lamor contributed to the forum Waste to Value, Driving Circular Economy and Biodiversity through Innovative Business Models.
COP16, with participants from over 190 countries, brought together governments, observer organizations, indigenous communities, businesses, youth groups, civil society, academia, and the public. Governments reviewed the progress in implementing the Biodiversity Plan and aligning their National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) with it.
Lamor was invited to be part of the forum From Waste to Value, Driving Circular Economy and Biodiversity through Innovative Business Models, where alongside sustainability leaders from major Swedish and Danish companies, we shared insights, innovations, and successful case studies from our global operations.
We highlighted Lamor's efforts in protecting native soils and environments in the Americas, and how local projects can succeed by following the Nordic methodology for environmental processes.
