Lamor expands global presence: Three market area leaders to drive business locally

In recent years, the demand for Lamor’s expertise and knowledge on creating positive environmental impact has seen significant growth. Taking advantage of global best practices, Lamor has found itself solving crucial environmental challenges in new areas of the globe. As the trend continues, Lamor has set itself ambitious growth targets and aims to reach them through its globally local operating model.The globally local approach consists of using global best practices and technologies to target local needs in customers’ own operating environment. In order to be closer to customers and local needs, Lamor has decided to divide its business under three Market Areas and senior leaders. This new structure was implemented as of November 2022, and now is a perfect moment to get to know our new Market Area leads.

North and South America

Senior Vice President Santiago Gonzalez is responsible for heading Lamor business in North and South America. He has founded the current Lamor subsidiary, Corena Ecuador, and has been working at Lamor since 2006. With Santiago’s entrepreneurial background and his career devoted to creating positive environmental impact, he is a trusted partner and advisor throughout the region for all types of organisations.

Senior Vice President Magnus Miemois leads the business in Europe and Asia. He has been with the company since 2020 acting as the Chief Commercial Officer. Before joining Lamor Magnus has made an extensive career in the Maritime industry in directorial positions with Wärtsilä Corporation. With a strong understanding of customer needs and a vast background in creating solutions that deliver proven value and impact all around the world, Magnus and his team are here to support you.

Middle East and Africa

A new member of the team, Senior Vice President Pentti Korjonen has taken the lead for the Lamor’s business in the Middle East and Africa. He has worked earlier for a long time in leadership positions in the Middle East and in Africa at Metso-Outotec, Outotec, and Nokia Networks. Having lived in the region for decades, Pentti brings in a deep understanding of the local needs and practices as well as how to deploy global best practices to deliver customer value.
