Oil spill response equipment training at Peru LNG Melchorita Terminal
In October, Lamor conducted a training day on the advanced use of spill response equipment at the Peru LNG Melchorita Terminal, the first and only liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing plant in South America. The training was led by a multidisciplinary Lamor team from various countries in the region.
The Peru LNG plant hosts the Port Terminal, which provides facilities for the berthing of methane tankers. In addition to its port infrastructure, the terminal is equipped with state-of-the-art systems that ensure the safe scheduling and execution of all cargo operations.
During this event, Lamor continued implementing the training and knowledge transfer program that Lamor has been developing with Peru LNG since 2017.
By incorporating ultra-rapid deployment containment boom systems and other advanced oil spill response equipment, we enhanced the operational and tactical response capabilities of the Peru LNG team members. Their strong commitment to continuous improvement and comprehensive understanding of the Emergency Response Plan were clearly demonstrated throughout the training.
