OPRC (IMO) Level 1 Training for OQ8 in Oman

Lamor Middle East conducted three sessions of OPRC (IMO) Level 1 training for OQ8 in Duqm, aimed at enhancing the safety of oil spill response activities and improving preparedness for oil spill response.

Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company LLC (OQ8) is a pioneering joint venture between Oman’s OQ Group and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI).

Lamor had the honour of providing training to 74 participants, equipping them with critical skills and knowledge to manage oil spills and environmental hazards more effectively.

Participants engaged in real-time simulations, modelling workshops, and desktop simulations, gaining practical experience in dealing with potential marine pollution incidents.

This is another example of how proud we are at Lamor to contribute to keeping the world clean, as well as protecting the environment in Oman and the Middle East region.
