OPRC (IMO) Level 2 and 3 Training for Antares Naviera in Buenos Aires, Argentina
This December, in Buenos Aires, Lamor had the privilege of presenting OPRC (IMO) Level 2 and 3 specialized courses to senior managers, executives, and directors of Antares Shipping Company, a member of the Ultramar Group.
The training brought together maritime industry professionals who were able to develop the essential skills necessary for the management of hydrocarbon incidents that may occur from maritime operations. This included gaining knowledge of the impacts and effects of weathered oil, on the environment, and the use of modelling tools.
The courses enhanced participants' technical knowledge, fostering collaboration and shared learning, aligned with international standards for improved response preparedness, as promoted by the Argentine Maritime Authority and the Oil & Gas Industry.

OPRC (IMO) Level 2 Oil Spill Response – Supervisor & On-Scene Commander
This course is designed for managers or supervisors who may lead or supervise oil spill response teams and those with responsibilities within an incident command or emergency team.
Delegates will gain an understanding of safe and efficient response to oil spills, learn how to undertake initial assessment of spill risk, initiate a response to an oil spill, identify priorities for protection, choose the correct response options, identify the limitations of response options and equipment, and understand the needs and demands of the media.
OPRC (IMO) Level 3 Oil Spill Response - Administrators & Senior Managers
This course is designed for senior managers, administrators and senior officials who may be involved in planning for or managing the response to an oil spill.
Delegates will gain an understanding of the complexities of oil spill management and consider the political and media pressures, the legal and financial implications, the safety issues concerning response personnel and the public, plus the post-operational requirements.
