Urs's career story: we have great people to work with
"I started at Lamor early 2023 as Head of Global Supply Chain & Procurement. I am originally a Swiss citizen and did a combined master’s degree in economics and technology in Germany. Most of my professional life I have worked for the energy and logistic industries, with responsibilities in supply chain and field service executions.
With my Finnish wife and three kids, we decided to try to live for some time in Finland and the wide space of Northern Europe. We relocated to Porvoo where Lamor is one of the top companies. It was easy to choose Lamor: Everyone is talking about it, but not many have an actual chance to work for it – in the world of environmental protection!
Working in Lamor is great, as we have great people to work with. Supply Chain & Procurement is responsible for the supplier selection, contracting, qualification and the relationship and the interface definition to sales, project and engineering for supply chain related issues. On the procurement side, we also execute purchasing orders and maintain the ERP data.
I believe that the company is on the right track for ensuring its success story further by streamlining global processes and widening its product range to global customers.
The big positives in Finland are the People and Nature.
The negatives: a little too short spring & summer period 😉, expensive
Wish change: Import the Swiss political system that people can vote on issues, and the people’s choice must be carried out. This will get things going for the better."
