Beach Sealing Boom
Beach sealing boom
The Beach Sealing Oil Boom is specifically designed for shoreline protection where water meets land and in tidal areas. The unique features of the beach sealing boom are that it has two water chambers that act as ballast which seals the boom to the shoreline and an air chamber for flotation.
Beach Sealing Boom is a vital tool for protecting the spread of oil along shorelines.
How it works
The Lamor Beach Sealing Boom (BSB) is installed along shorelines and sensitive areas to prevent the spread of oil.
The BSB is installed at the water levels’ highest to lowest point of the shoreline. Water is first pumped into both ballast chambers and then air into the top chamber as flotation.
The BSB follows the shoreline into the water where another model of boom is connected through their ASTM End Connectors. Boom model is determined depending upon the environmental situation.
The BSB is manufactured from highly visible orange polyurethane coated high tenacity polyamide or heavy-duty Neoprene fabric giving it excellent durability and flexibility. The BSB is supplied with ASTM End Connectors made in accordance with the ASTM F962 as standard so that several sections can be joined together or other model containment booms can be attached as well if required. The air and water chambers are equipped with standard Monsun filling valves at each end of the chambers.
