Boom towing boats
Boom towing boats
Our boom towing boats are robust, made out of high-grade marine aluminum with a single level work deck and walk around a fully enclosed wheelhouse with special focus on safe navigation and low noise levels. They are also equipped with a towing post with a releasable towing hook on the aft deck as well as four lifting points.
"Hard working towing vessel with strong pulling power"
How it works
The displacement hull is divided into three watertight compartments equipped with separate bilge pumps, and have a protective rubber D100 fender. The boom towing boats are designed to operate in 5 cm (2 in) rigid ice or 10 cm (4 in) broken ice. The hull is made of seawater resistant aluminum, with 8 mm (0.3 in) plating and 6 mm (0.2 in) transom plating and welded in accordance with all workboat regulation standards. The flat self-draining deck is painted with anti-skid epoxy. The machinery is fitted in a watertight engine compartment located in the stern of the vessel. The engine is keel cooled with closed-circuit cooling slings mounted inside the vessel’s hull beneath the waterline. The exhaust system is equipped with a silencer/spark arrestor.
Our Boom towing boats are built in accordance with the Finnish Maritime Association (FMA) workboats regulations, EU directives, and ISO standards.
